isolationism |
In the beginning of the 20th century America briefly broke it’s long idea of isolating itself to the outside world. Since the inauguration of George Washington who said, “It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world,” until the latter half of the 20th century, America has executed this belief. Originally created to protect the weak and infant nation, then became the excuse to avoid sacrificing its own wealth to others in need.
